Ellie Goulding Delirium Tour

Total Solutions Group were awarded the contract to supply a series of lighting pods for the upcoming Ellie Goulding Delirium Tour. Originally the brief was for the lighting pods to raise and lower with Kinesys during the show to create different visual effects. Unfortunately this requirement got cancelled, however we were asked to still design and manufacture the pods with this in mind to give scope to add movement in the future. There are four lighting pods in total, two small (4.3 x 5.7 x 3.3m) and two large (5.2 x 6.6 x 4.1m). They are triangular in plan view made up of a truss along one edge and ladder frames along the others. The truss has a series of MAC Vipers hung from the underside, whilst the ladders have Ayrton Magic Dots uniformly spaced along each edge. Supported from the underside is an inverted pyramid made up of mirrored Dibond. The key point the lighting designer requested was to be able to reflect the moving lamp beam off the mirrored surfaces, creating some spectacular effects. The whole system was also supplied tour ready in a series of our standard Dollys.
